Tensas Parish Students of the Year Winners
Recognized at February Meeting of Tensas Parish School Board
The Students of the Year Awards Program is designed to recognize outstanding elementary, middle/junior high, and high school students. This program is an excellent opportunity to recognize from each school those students who have demonstrated excellent academic achievement, leadership ability, and citizenship.
The Students of the Year winners have completed an application packet and a portfolio highlighting their achievements. The candidates have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. They have performed well on state assessments such as the LEAP, the iLEAP, and the GEE, as well as on the ACT. They have demonstrated strong leadership ability and good citizenship. They participate in a variety of activities both at school and in the community. In December, the school-level winners in each category participated in the parish-level competition, and we are proud to honor the Tensas Parish Student of the Year winners.
